Every Mundoaka franchise works towards a specific goal. Namely, to keep up with the latest trends and use only the best seasonal local ingredients.
Light wood dominates the interior decor, which is also packed with trickles, providing an ideal setting for a quick meal. But you can also choose to sit on a large terrace that, given the fact that you’re in very heart of Zagreb, also serves as a promenade. Considering that one of the owners hails from Argentina, you can start things off by relishing wonderful coupages and six types of beer offered nowhere else in Croatia. We recommend the dark ones!

Latin-Croatian humming coming from an exceptionally charming waiter who is Argentine as well will lift your spirit, but he will not help you out when choosing your dish. Since the menu is a far cry from being ordinary, everything on it looks intriguing and tempting. Mundoaka is famed for its rich, thick and unforgettable Sicilian grill pizza. It’s a combination of bread and pizza. Pork ribs and chicken halves also fall within the category of classical dishes. When it comes to entrées, you have various types of empanada, gyoza and a delicious cream of cauliflower soup. This is an original master-piece whose faultless flavour blends India and Međimurje.

Aged sirloin steak served both as one piece or as a hamburger constitutes a novelty in Mundoaka’s seasonal ever-changing repertoire. Then we have lamb and venison ragu with particular attention being paid to their home-made pastry and spectacular desserts, cakes, macarons and muffins... Everything’s elaborate, smart, carefully prepared, arranged and served.

At Mundoaka you can also have sandwiches and cereals for breakfast. Overall, Mundoaka’s tale is a fantastic one worthy of being repeated in every neighbourhood and town in Croatia. Highly recommended.

Restaurant description:

Zagreb awaited its first street food restaurant for a long time, and then a place named Mundoaka, located at the corner of Ban Jelačić Square and at the top of Petrinjska Street, appeared out of thin air. Free seats were scarce in the very beginning, but in time they expanded by building a nice heated terrace. As of late two new (Mundoaka) franchises in Čakovec and Umag have opened their doors.
