Stunning in all of its shapes and sizes and with its picturesque small towns all along its coast and interior, the island of Krk is a must-go destination for all nature and travel lovers. As well as fans of Mediterranean cuisine...

The restaurant goes back to 1981 which means that in each subsequent decade Cicibela has been expanded by a few metres. On the edge of Croatia’s most beautiful beach today we have a stunning restaurant with incredible stone walls and dazzling details related to the Adriatic Sea. There’s a small boat in front of the entrance. It’s a functional old barge that can take up to six people, but the only problem is that you can’t sail away. A perfect atmosphere...

Given its coastal location, Cicibela is primarily a fish restaurant so the windows are always filled with fresh whitefish. You also have at your disposal the most delicious crustaceans and a trully varied selection of meat dishes. Naturally, when you set your eyes on fresh fish and grilled cephalopods, they will be your first choice. Since every year Baška hosts a lamb festival named Black Sheep, specialties from this fresh local meat are quite popular there so the menu abounds in homemade goulash, stews, žgvacet and, of course, all kinds of steak.

They take great pride in their buzara regardless of whether it contains shellfish or crustaceans. Monkfish fillet with truffles in shrimp sauce is also a standout dish. Truffles are a mushroom variety originating in nearby Istria. They’re the restaurant’s hallmark and are added to a great number of dishes. Beefsteak Turnedo with noodles in white truffle cream and a black truffle on top is without a doubt the winning dish. Your table will always have two fantastic olive oils (Rizman) on it, whereas the twenty something wine list goes great with the food you ordered. When it comes to white wine, Žlahtina made by the agricultural association Vrbnik is the house wine, while Cabernet Sauvignon Pilato is the house red wine.

Given the fact that there are over twenty desserts, they are a special story and are the highlight of what Cicibela has to offer. Five types of crepes, tiramisu, cheesecake, semifroddo and ice-creams still lag behind the most famous dessert - chocolate fondue with seasonal fruit. Fresh, seasonal and using homemade ingredients obtained from local fishermen and family farms. We should definitely point out the plentiful portions and the appealing way they were served.

A wide selection of fish and meat, a dessert book and smiling staff are just some of the things that put Cibibela at the top of the island’s offer, while the view of the beach and sea just adds to the overall impression of this pleasant, true summer restaurant where you’re bound to come back. This is an ideal place for large groups and people who enjoy company. With a view of the sea, beach and swimmers, Cicibela is a true Adriatic restaurant for the entire summer!
