If you ever wondered where to go for a quick meal in the very centre of the capital, not overly expensive, and with interesting and tasty food prepared in many ways, then Bistro Fotić is your perfect oasis. Unpretentious, comfortable, decorated in many styles, and with such a diverse offer, it guarantees everyone will find something for themselves.

This place is located at the same distance from Ban Jelačić Square and Zrinjevac, without excessive advertising, and has a solution for all hungry mouths, from breakfast to dinner. Everything is fresh, acquired on that day at the nearby Dolac market, so you will find homemade pasta, gnocchi, and bread, deliciously accompanied by a large selection of wines by the glass. You will instantly fall in love with the sweetly decorated menu of the day and a menu on a chopping board!

Everything in Fotić is adapted to pleasure, as though you were in Alice’s living room, frames on the wall, white bricks, coffee grinders on the shelves. The second part is more serious, stylish, and there are two more rooms for more intimate gatherings.

The breakfasts are the first thing that captures your attention - omelettes, pancakes, salads - everything is here! The daily menu includes a dozen serious dishes, from pasta to rump steak and sea bass, a few starters, and one soup - every day of the week a different one. Since this is a bistro, and not a restaurant, Fotić is closed on Sundays and public holidays. This little food boutique also delights with its serving pots, as well as with the showcase where for the more demanding guests each meal from the daily menu is on show, as well as the daily desserts on offer.

Fotić is also known for its pizzas with top quality Italian ingredients, from mozzarella to mortadella, and they are also proud of their meat and fish dishes, so we warmly recommend the rump steak and homemade gnocchi in gorgonzola cheese sauce. A complete delight from the first to the last bite, rounded, full, flawless. In the end, there are many desserts, from cheesecake to icy wind cake. The Josić Cuvée is fabulous as always, with the very pleasant staff who really try to be helpful with pairing.

The Bistro Fotić is a great place for a cultural brunch, but also a lot more than just that. This is not a ‘slow food’ spot, but a place where you will get in no time a big portion of quality food, and feel quite comfortable at every moment. Even more when you see the photo exhibition, and taste the welcome brandy that they personally make from oranges, honey, and who knows what more... The warmest recommendation, a beautiful and modern image of our capital.

Restaurant description:

The Bistro Fotić is located in the very Zagreb city centre, just a few minutes from Ban Jelačić Square, close to Zrinjevac. It offers meat and fish dishes, pasta, tasty stews and soups, salads and pancakes, cakes, plus a wide range of pizzas with mozzarella cheese and fresh ingredients on a daily basis.
Cooking requires inspiration and creativity, and any kind of limits just restrict our senses. The attitude of the Fotić management is confirmed by guests, too, who choose with enthusiasm meat prepared in many ways, such as grilled chicken, fried in sesame seeds, in a nice sauce, chimichanga or with wok cooked vegetables.
Try the homemade pasta, bread and cakes that are prepared every day for your complete culinary delight.
