Šember agricultural farm

Plešivica

Besides continental Croatia being immersed in wonderful nature in beautiful hilly landscapes it is also adorned by areas of vineyards which since ancient times has be known as a favourite place for many winegrowers. It is right here, on the wine slopes of Plešivica that the vineyard of the Šember family was established, and they have been working in the cultivation of vines and the production of quality wines for many years.

Although the tradition of grapevine cultivation has been passed down through the generations, two years have nonetheless been significant at the Šember farm; one is 1991 when they launched their own label, and 1997, when they began to produce sparkling wines by the classic method. All of that is wind in their sails that helps them so that year after year they become better and that their wines become a part of the wine menu of many restaurants.

Over an area of 5.5 hectares of vineyards, which they have located on the sloping terrain of the Plešivica-Okić region, they produce several white wines in which you can find: Graševina, Plavec Žuti, Pinot Blanc, Rhine Riesling, Chardonnay and Chardonnay Muscat. Also on offer to the wine lovers are red wines, Portugizac and Pinot Noir, as well as a sparkling wine, which is made by the classic method. In the Šember sparkling wine they have perfectly combined the Chardonnay, Rhine Riesling, Graševina and Plavec Žuti sorts.

Inside the farm, by tasting the wines and specialities, the Šember family offers a real wine-cuisine pleasure in which you can enjoy the excellent wines and dishes made from the traditional recipes of our grandmothers.
