A green Sylvaner is the trademark of the Orahovica agricultural business, a company that deals in almost all branches of agricultural production, and is located in the untouched beauty of east Croatia, between the Drava river in the north and the slopes of Papuk and Krndija in the northwest, along the edges of the Papuk Nature Park.
Sylvaner is an old Central European sort, principally from Austria and Germany. In the vineyard it is very sensitive to weather conditions, and in Orahovica it has found the ideal habitat and provides premium wines. The 2013 vintage was voted the best white wine at an appraisal in Hungary and the white wine officially celebrated the 450th anniversary of the Battle of Szigeth, so the bottle will bear the tag Miklós Zrínyi, which is how the Hungarians call Nikola Zrinski.
Also in the Orahovica agricultural business’s wine selection are white wines from Graševina, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon, Rhine Riesling and Chardonnay, rosé and red wine from Frankovka, and predicate, sweet wines of Green Sylvaner and Graševina.
